The head of the Rivne Regional Military Commissariat, Serhii Lutsiuk, who beat a subordinate in July, was notified of a new suspicion. According to investigators, he failed to declare assets worth more than UAH 46.6 million. Some of them are registered in the name of a retired aunt.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, Censor.NET reports.
SBI (State Bureau of Investigation) investigators found that the head of the Rivne military commissariat owns real estate and land worth more than UAH 46.6 million.
The following was found in his possession:
- a house of 280 square meters in the resort area of Bukovel;
- an unfinished hotel in the format of a "cottage town" with an area of almost 500 square meters on a neighboring plot;
- a 316-square-meter country-house near Yaremche with home billiards and a pond with elite fish species.
"According to the documents, all this property belongs to the official's retired aunt and a third-party trustee," the SBI said.
The Military Commissar himself owns:
- 3 apartments in Ivano-Frankivsk with a total area of almost 200 square meters;
- two garages.
"At one of the addresses, a quadcopter used by soldiers on the front line was found and seized. Its origin will also be studied as part of the pre-trial investigation," the SBI added.
The difference between the value of the discovered real estate and the officially confirmed earnings of the official reaches more than UAH 46.6 million.
Lutsiuk was served a notice of suspicion of illicit enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 12 years in prison.
The military commissar is currently suspended from duty and is in custody. He is suspected of using violence against a subordinate and robbery. According to investigators, he beat a soldier in the summer.
