Zelenskyy honored memory of fallen soldiers at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. PHOTOS
On December 15, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of Ukraine’s defenders during a working visit to Lviv.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leadership of the Presidential Office laid flowers on the graves of the Heroes buried on the Field of Mars at Lychakiv Cemetery. These are soldiers and sergeants who died in battles with the Russian occupiers in the spring of 2022 and early 2023.
"In particular, the participants of the ceremony honored the memory of Maksym Vasylkevych from Lviv, who performed combat missions in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine for three years, and after the large-scale Russian invasion returned from abroad and fought the enemy as part of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko; Oleksii Lon, a native of Rubizhne of the Luhansk region, who fought as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo; Dmytro Sydoruk, a master of sports of international class in archery, junior sergeant of the 24th brigade," the statement said.
The Head of State also spoke with the mother of Lieutenant Pavlo Shcherbyna, who was the commander of a separate grenade launcher platoon, participated in the liberation of Kherson, and later fought in the Bakhmut sector. He died on December 15, 2022.
