Following complaints from the military about food, the Ministry of Defense has organized an inspection of food warehouses in some military units in eastern Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, Censor.NET reports.
"During the inspection, it turned out that the products were delivered late and their quality did not meet the standards," the statement said.
It turned out that in some regions the food stocks were insufficient. According to the Deputy Minister, Colonel Vitalii Polovenko, the reason for this is the late delivery of food by the winning company.
Currently, the Defense Ministry has working groups that check the quality and timely delivery of products.
"This issue is under strict control. The company has won 10 food lots, but now it is physically unable to cope with the deliveries," added Polovenko.
In this case, according to the contract, the Ministry of Defense can replace the supplier.
"That is, the parts where the company fails to keep up with deliveries, we will withdraw from the contract and reassign them to the winning companies in the surrounding regions. The products must be of high quality and their supply must be uninterrupted," the deputy minister summarized.
The Ministry of Defense will impose penalties on the supplier for late delivery of products. The company will also have to reimburse for spoiled and low-quality products.
