President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had held a meeting with the military and members of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the provision of drones to the Defence Forces.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"Together with the military and government officials, we held a three-hour meeting on drones that was as specific as possible. We updated and detailed production plans for the current year for all types of drones: FPVs, bombers, reconnaissance drones, as well as long-range drones for special missions," the statement said.
According to the President, they also discussed ensuring the flexibility of the Ukrainian defence industry.
"The needs of the frontline are constantly changing. Our manufacturers must respond to them in a timely manner.
Important decisions include simplifying the procurement procedure, importing equipment, increasing the production of drone shells and training operators. A project to build an integrated electronic warfare control system to protect our soldiers and equipment from Russian UAVs. The system is already being tested in certain areas. We have planned to scale the project to the entire frontline," Zelenskyy added.
