This was announced today by the Presidential Administration speaker on ATO matters Oleksandr Motuzianyk at a daily briefing, Censor.NET reports.
The most hectic situation was recorded yesterday in the Luhansk direction. A Ukrainian mobile counter-smuggling group was ambushed between 6 and 7 a.m., halfway from Shchastia to Slavianoserbsk. Our soldiers repelled the attack by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group, with Ukrainian army reinforcements arriving shortly. During the fight, two people died - a volunteer and a tax police officer, six more soldiers were wounded. No losses were suffered in other ATO area sectors.
Also, for the first time in the last four days, militants used heavy weapons, having fired 120-mm mortars at the Ukrainian troops positions near Novotoshkivske on Bakhmutska highway. The enemy committed provocations near Shchastia and Krymske, using small arms.
It was quiet yesterday in the Popasna district of the Luhansk region, in the vicinity of Svitlodarsk, near Horlivka, in the area between Dzerzhynsk and Yasynuvata.
Two enemy attacks were recorded near the Donetsk airport - south of Avdiivka and near Spartak village. Militants used small arms and grenade launchers.
More tension was recorded near Krasnohorivka and Marinka - between 6 and 10 p.m. the enemy committed four attacks at Ukrainian troops positions, using small arms.
No cease-fire violations have been recorded in the Mariupol direction and to the south of Donetsk.
