The Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv has arrested Stanislav Tolstosheiev who killed a woman near Livoberezhna metro station on Jan. 9.

"Today, the Kyiv city emergency hospital decided to discharge the driver of Mercedes, who fatally injured a woman and was taken to medical facility to undergo relevant treatment. This allowed taking the suspect to the Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv for considering a petition about choosing a preventive measure in the form of custody," the message notes.

After hearing all participants, the judge ruled to take the culprit in custody with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of UAH 137,000 (approx. $5,260).

Earlier today, Tolstosheiev was examined by medical board which will later provide the results to the investigation.
