Nadiia Savchenko's friend Iryna Yuzik described her first meeting with the Ukrainian pilot after Russian captivity.

Nadia speaks a lot, tells me of a five-hour stay in the cell of a prison truck, of being unaware until the last second of where she was being taken - to prison or for an exchange. Then she sharply switches to work, speaks of what needs to be done and how to change the country, how to free the remaining Kremlin's hostages. Nadiia is eager to put things in order," Yuzik notes.
