150th Motorized Infantry Division and the infrastructure for its deployment are being created in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation bordering the occupied Donbas.
As reported by Censor.NET citing the Russian Defense Ministry, Acting Commander of the Southern Military District Colonel-General Aleksandr Dvornikov checked the progress of the construction of the infrastructure facilities at the Kadamovsky training ground (50 km away from the border with Ukraine).
Dvornikov has set main objectives for the troops during the meeting with district officials: preparation and successful conduction of the strategic command-and-staff training exercise Caucasus-2016, putting the infrastructure into operational service, and the launch of drills of the newly formed 150th Motorized Infantry Division.
Kadamovsky training base that is being constructed in the Rostov region is one of the most advanced training grounds of the Russian Armed Forces. The garrison town is designed to accommodate the created 150th Idritsa-Berlin Order of Kutuzov of the Second Degree Motorized Infantry Division. The infrastructure for the new major unit is being constructed from the scratch with the use of modern construction technologies, many of which are used for building of garrison towns for the first time.
