President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Armed Forces Colonel Ivan Beziazykov, who was liberated from militants' captivity yesterday.
Censor.NET reports citing the press office of the president.Congratulating the military on his return, the head of state emphasized that the liberation of Ukrainian citizens from militants' captivity was a major task.
"We will fight for the liberation of every Ukrainian. No matter whether he is a colonel, soldier, volunteer or civilian," Petro Poroshenko noted.
The president receives reports on the situation of Ukrainian captives from Commissioner of the President for the Peaceful Settlement of the Situation in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions Iryna Herashchenko daily.

According to the president, the liberation of the colonel was not easy, because Russia was blocking the process. He reminded that the exchange of 25 Ukrainian captives for 50 militants had been blocked in Minsk.
The military expressed gratitude to the president and everyone involved in the process of his liberation.
"This liberation came true due to the Security Service, volunteers and you," Ivan Beziazykov said to the head of state.
