US provides over 1,000 night scopes to Ukraine’s army, thousands more to be delivered soon, Minister Poltorak says. PHOTOS
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have recently received a batch of night vision devices as part of the international technical assistance. The first batch of more than a thousand devices has already arrived from the United States of America.
Censor.NET reports referring to the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry."The level of support the foreign partners provide for Ukraine today is the highest since it became independent," Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Army General Stepan Poltorak said.
"The U.S. government provides more than 2,000 night vision devices as part of this assistance program. We expect delivery of the next batch in the nearest future," Poltorak clarified.
He also noted that this was the result of successful foreign policy pursued by the president of Ukraine.
"I am very grateful to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the efforts that give real results, as well as the members of the international community for their support of our army," the minister stressed.




As reported earlier, total value of the international technical assistance provided since early 2016 has exceeded $62 million, with more than $7 million in humanitarian aid received additionally.
