The official was regularly receiving bribes from entrepreneurs for assisting them with value added tax refund, Censor.NET reports citing SBU's press service.
In one of the cases, the extortioner received 238,000 hryvnia ($9,150) from a timber exporter. The official involved his family into the corrupt activities - his sister acted as a mediator, and his wife was the payee of the funds.
