Hanna Dudich, a teacher of English at a school in Ukraine's city of Kropyvnytskyi, has become one of the 50 finalists for the Global Teacher Prize 2017 awarded by the Varkey Foundation.
Censor.NET reports citing Dudich's Facebook page.The teacher won attention of the jury due to innovative teaching methods she employs in her work.
Her approach involves project-based learning and student-centered methods. Dudich experiments with up-to-date technologies such as tablets, smartphones and Google Class pages, the Global Teacher Prize official website notes.

The Global Teacher Prize is a $1 million award presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession.

The winner will be announced at the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai on March 19, 2017.
The top 50 contestants have been shortlisted from over 20,000 nominations and applications from 179 countries from around the world and include representatives from 37 countries.
