Ukrainians gather at Viche in Kyiv downtows on Day of Unity. PHOTOS

The traditional assembly dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine was held on Jan. 22 in Kyiv.

The activists held a Viche (traditional gathering of people) at Sofiivska Square, Censor.NET reports.

They read out the Fourth Universal of the Central Council of Ukraine (1918) and Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine (1991), and sang patriotic songs.

After that, the people went to Mykhailivskyi Cathedral to pay homage to the fallen soldiers at the memory wall.
