A "DPR" terrorist charged with brutal treatment of Ukrainian servicemen has been detained in the Donetsk region.
Censor.NET reports referring to the Prosecutor General Office press service.Military prosecutors along with Ukraine's Security Service have detained a citizen of Ukraine in the town of Svatove, who is suspected of taking part in the "Donetsk People's Republic" terrorist organization between August and December 2014 and involvement in illegal detention and escorting of captive Ukrainian military.
Together with other terrorists, in violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War and taking advantage of the defenseless state of prisoners, he used physical violence against them, inflicted beatings, tortured, threatened with murder and committed other actions posing a threat to their health and life, the message says.

The investigation has established 11 soldiers suffered at the hands of the said person.
He is charged with involvement in a terrorist organization, promotion and conduct of an aggressive war against Ukraine and violation of the laws and rules of war. The terrorist has been remanded in a two-month custody.
