Within the global #BreakFree2017 campaign, Kyiv activists held an event to draw attention of city authorities and residents to the issues of the public transport the city. They demanded more effort to provide for free and safe biking in the city.

On March 31, Kyiv activists held an event at Poshtova Ploshcha. They formed the word "Вільні" (Free) of their bodies to set the city free from motor vehicles.
"With this event, we are saying we want to walk freely across the city, to bike, or use public transport. We also want more fresh air instead of smog," the organizers said.
The event took place within #BreakFree2017 global campaign taking place in 36 countries between March 12 and 31. The motto of the event was "Free from transport collapse." The participants demanded the city authorities to create separate lanes for public transport and develop infrastructure for biking.
