15 Berkut fighters involved in Maidan execution were granted Russian citizenship. DOCUMENT (in Ukrainian)

15 former servicemen of the Berkut Special Forces unit, who were members of the so-called "Black Company" involved in the shooting of protesters at Instytutska Street on Feb. 20, 2014, have been granted Russian citizenship since 2014.

The document reads that in response to an inquiry from Ukrainian law enforcement officials, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office reported that 14 special forces servicemen have been granted Russian citizenship since 2014, and three received a temporary refuge. Another former employee of Berkut, according to the data provided by Russia, has been a Russian citizen since 1999.




Most of the Berkut fighters had been registered in Tver or Tula oblasts of Russia.

The following persons are confirmed Russian citizens:

1. Sadovnyk Dmitry Nikolayevich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Dec. 4, 2014 );
2. Panchenko Roman Viktorovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Jan. 20, 2015, Tambov oblast)
3. Vladyka Igor Vasilievich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Jan. 20, 2015, Tambov oblast)
4. Zaritsky Nazar Nikolayevich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on April 27, 2015, Tver oblast);
5. Makarets Ivan Petrovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on June 4, 2014);
6. Kravets Yuri Grigoryevich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Jan. 20, 2015, Tambov oblast)
7. Pronoza Yevgeny Konstantinovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on April 22, 2015, Tver oblast);
8. Tsvigun Alexey Yurievich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on June 24, 2014, Tula oblast)
9. Kishkan Oleg Ivanovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on April 29, 2016, Volgograd oblast);
10. Devyaty Sergey Mikhailovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Sep. 19, 2014, Tula oblast)
11. Shpilevy Sergey Pavlovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on May 14, 2014, Tver oblast);
12. Gorbik Ruslan Anatolievich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Jan. 20, 2015, Tambov oblast)
13. Chumak Igor Evgenievich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Jan. 10, 1999);
14. Isakov Dmitry Aleksandrovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on June 4, 2014);
15. Ryaboshapka Vasily Vladimirovich (granted the citizenship of the Russian Federation on Nov. 20, 2014, Tambov oblast).
