A section of Hrushevskoho Street between Dynamo stadium and Kyiv Hotel, which cuts across Kyiv’s government quarter, has been blocked by the owners of foreign-registered cars since the morning. The protesters are holding rallies outside the parliament and government buildings.
The rally participants set up a stage from which they voice their demands time to time. Namely, they call on to pass legislation allowing them to clear their cars through customs and cut down car imports duty. The protesters use smoke bombs, flares and hold posters saying: "Hands off someone else's property," "When will you finally give us a break, you scrapepennies?" "Corrupt officials must be put in jail," "Say ‘NO’ to Hroisman’s corrupt practices," "We demand affordable customs clearance, not criminal reprisals by the Cabinet!"
