New billboards were placed near border with Belarus and national anthem of Ukraine was played. VIDEO

"Together we defeated fascism, together we will defeat racism," read the billboards seen by Belarusian border guards.

On the morning of 9 May, the national anthem of Ukraine was played at the checkpoints of Prislatnyky, Vychavka, Horodyshcha, Kopyshcha, Vystivovychi, and Perebrody.

According to the organisers, the purpose of this event is to remind the Belarusian side of the joint struggle during the Second World War.

In early April, Ukrainian border guards set up a projector on the border with Belarus to show the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine.
