During a working visit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa, which was damaged by a rocket attack by Russian occupiers.

"The consequences of Russian terror against Odesa. The destruction of the Transfiguration Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in Odesa and one of the most valuable churches in Ukraine. A Russian missile hit the altar - it was completely destroyed. The entire structure of the building was damaged.

Experts are now identifying opportunities to restore the church. "I thank our partners in Europe for their willingness to join the restoration. The main thing is that the Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God has been saved. The heart of the church is alive," Zelensky said.
