This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to RIA Novosti. The moment the Russian fighter jet crashed was posted on social media.

"The press service of the Western Military District reported that on 12 August, a Su-30 aircraft crashed in a deserted area during a training flight in the Kaliningrad region," the statement said.

The Russians claim that the entire crew was killed.

"The flight was carried out without ammunition. According to preliminary information, the crash was caused by a technical malfunction," Russian media reported.
