European carrier Vega powered by Ukrainian engine successfully launched into orbit. VIDEO

The Vega carrier rocket was designed by the European Space Agency (ESA) together with the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The carrier's forth stage RD-843 engine was designed by the Yanhel Pivdenne State Design Office and manufactured by the Makarov Production Association Pivdennyi Machine-Building Plant," the message reads.
This was the eighth Vega launch from the Guiana Space Center since its first liftoff in 2012.
