Russian militants attacked Ukrainian marines' positions near Mariupol with large-caliber weapons. They employed rocket systems, self-propelled howitzers, tanks and mortars.

As reported by Censor.NET citing TSN, positions of Ukrainian marines around Shyrokyne were pounded for two hours non-stop.

"We registered 86 impacts from tanks, NONAs, 152 mm SPGs," the marines say.
One of the shells hit an observation post, wounding two soldiers. As they were receiving first aid, another explosion occurred nearby and two more marines got seriously wounded.
"We were bandaging them up on the spot and performed the evacuation under cover of a machine gun fire," the fighters add.
