Ex-CIA director Petraeus named conditions for ending war in Ukraine

Successes of Ukraine on the battlefield, combined with the effect of economic sanctions against Russia, could lead to the end of the war.
This was said by the director of the CIA in 2011-12, General David Petraeus, during the Kyiv Security Forum, Censor.NET reports.
"Of course, this war will not end soon, unless the Russian troops are completely defeated," said the ex-head of the CIA.
"Ultimately, Ukraine will continue to liberate its territories and at a certain point, the combination of the situation on the battlefield and economic sanctions and export controls will convince the majority in Russia that this war cannot be continued," Petraeus stressed.
The general noted that then Russia will have to withdraw its troops, which has already lost more people in 9 months than in 10 years of war in Afghanistan.
