Journalists asked the head of Poland to comment on Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's statements that Poland, even against the decision of the European Commission, will not agree to lifting the blockade on the import of Ukrainian grain to Poland after September 15.

"It is clear that we consistently support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression... But the second thing, and this is our most important duty, is to stand guard over the interests of the Republic. Therefore, to protect the internal market and the market of the European Union, which starts with us It is also in our interests to recognize the historical truth in the space between states," the Polish president said.

Duda was also asked about the statement of the head of the Office of International Policy, Marcin Przydach, that Kyiv does not value Polish aid.

"The minister did not mean that our friends from Ukraine do not say every day in the mass media: "Thank you, thank you, thank you". We hear this very often from ordinary people and appreciate it very much. But we expect understanding from the Ukrainian authorities in on certain issues - also that we have our own interests and obligations," the Polish leader emphasized.

Duda also admitted that with such an understanding, "sometimes things are different."

"We must remember that they are in a special situation. Therefore, sometimes we have to tell them: we understand that you are fighting, but remember that we also live in the neighborhood and also have our obligations to Polish society." he added.
