Klytschko: 112th Territorial Defense Brigade received 1500 drones and 200 copters from Kyiv community
The 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade purchased 1,500 drones and 200 quadcopters at Kyiv’s expense.
This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytschko during a visit to the brigade's headquarters, Censor.NET reports.
"I visited the headquarters of the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. This is a brigade formed in Kyiv, whose battalions are fighting in the forefront today. Within a month, the military purchased 1,500 FPV drones and 200 Mavic 3 and Mavic 3T quadcopters for the funds allocated by the city. In total, the capital has allocated UAH 238 million to equip the brigade," Klytschko said.
The mayor assured that the Kyiv community will continue to help the defenders.
Klytschko emphasized that this year Kyiv has spent a total of UAH 1 billion 550 million on the purchase of drones for the defenders.
He also said that today the second batch of drones, which he and his brother Volodymyr Klytschko ordered together, has been sent to the front line.
"In 2023, Kyiv allocated a total of UAH 1 billion 550 million for the purchase of drones at the request of the Armed Forces, the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. In addition to assistance from the city budget, we attract resources, help from philanthropists and foreign partners. My brother Volodymyr constantly visits the soldiers on the front line. He sends cars, drones, and necessary equipment at the request of the soldiers. This week, my brother and I also sent 100 FPV drones to Avdiivka, to the 47th Brigade (Volodia bought them). Today, another hundred of the drones we ordered with him arrived. We will send them to the frontline as soon as possible," Klytschko emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that the soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura", who are defending Avdiivka, posted a video with footage of the transfer of 100 drones sent to them by the Klychko brothers. The defenders thanked the mayor of Kyiv and all Ukrainians for their support.
It was also reported that in 2023, Kyiv allocated more than UAH 7 billion to support the Armed Forces, which is 10% of the city's budget.
