Warrant officer Volodymyr Maiboroda (call sign Mai), commander of reconnaissance platoon at the 24th separate mechanized brigade, was killed in a blast in the vicinity of Donetsk region’s Zaitseve village on April 8 as he tripped a mine during a clash with the enemy subversive and reconnaissance group.
As reported by Censor.NET, the farewell ceremony for Maiboroda, born in 1960, will be held in the village of Peremozhne in the Akimov district of the Zaporizhia region at midday on April 17. A resident of Melitopol city, the deceased warrant officer was in charge of the reconnaissance platoon of the 24th mechanized brigade. He was killed in mine explosion he triggered on the outskirts of Zaitseve village (the Donetsk region) around 4 p.m. on April 8 during a clash with the enemy subversive and reconnaissance group.
The serviceman was survived by his wife and daughter.
