The government’s priorities are to start a large-scale demining program on the territory of Ukraine as soon as possible.
This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in his post on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Because of Russian terrorists, Ukraine has become one of the most mined countries in the world. The Government's priorities are to start a large-scale demining program as soon as possible...About 320,000 explosive objects have already been defused. We are updating standards, setting priorities, creating a market for demining services," the post reads.
Shmyhal also noted that as part of this program, the government is creating the State Center for Humanitarian Demining, which was reported earlier.
Also remind, according to UN estimates, demining the territory of Ukraine will cost more than 35 billion dollars. The government is working on creating an international coalition that will help Ukraine cope with this problem.
