Enemy loses up to two companies daily in battles for Mariinka and Avdiivka - Ukrainian Defense Forces
At the Mariinka and Avdiivka directions, the Russian army is losing about two companies of personnel daily, and positional fighting continues.
This was announced by Colonel Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesman for the Tauride Defense Forces, during a telethon, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.
"Positional battles continue in the area of Mariinka and Avdiivka, the invaders have varying success, but all our positions occupied by the enemy are being recaptured and returned. (The enemy - Ed.). suffers enormous... losses, every day the enemy loses about two companies of personnel, but does not give up hope," said the spokesman.
According to him, the prisoners say that they are sent into battle by "not sober enough commanders" without any training: "They just raise the personnel in the middle of the night, send them to storm the positions at gunpoint."
Dmytrashkivsky noted that the enemy used an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and a tank in this area during the day yesterday, while at night the attacks were carried out by infantry groups.
As reported, the enemy is now trying to block Avdiivka and capture Mariinka in order to move towards Kurakhove.
