More than 130 traitors have already been convicted in Kharkiv region, - Prosecutor’s office
More than 2,200 proceedings have been opened in the Kharkiv region, which relate to collaborative activities and treason
Dmytro Chubenko, the spokesman of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, announced this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"More than 2,200 proceedings under the articles of "collaborative activity" and "treason" were initiated in the region, 566 persons were notified of suspicion. We already have 133 verdicts. And I would like to note that no acquittal was handed down in any of the proceedings during the court proceedings. That is, the judges recognized the evidence as sufficient, proper, that they comprehensively prove the person's guilt," Chubenko noted.
He also reported that about 14,000 war crimes were committed in the region. About 10,000 of them relate to the shelling of civilian infrastructure and the wounding and killing of civilians.
Chubenko noted that it is quite difficult to establish the identities of the criminals, as the crimes were committed under conditions of occupation and during hostilities. However, there are already specific suspicions, in particular, of the commanders of the military units who ordered the bombing of Kharkiv, and several servicemen who raped a girl in the Kharkiv region.
