The aggressor country plans to oblige foreign companies with permanent offices in the Russian Federation to pay an "extraordinary tax", which is, in fact, a military levy. Russian companies already pay such a tax.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to The Moscow Times.

The draft law, called "On the tax on excess profits of past years", aims to force not only Russian, but also foreign organizations that have a permanent presence in Russia to pay a "voluntary" contribution to the budget.

The authorities will issue a one-time business tax as an "extraordinary tax".

All companies with a net profit before taxation of more than 1 billion rubles. must transfer the one-time fee to the budget, but the exceptions are companies that extract oil, gas and coal, as well as oil refineries, producers of liquefied natural gas and companies from the small and medium-sized business register.
