Biggest obstacle to counteroffensive of Armed Forces is weather. Before its start - "month, maybe two", - Minister of Defense of Estonia Pevkur

Rainy weather is the biggest obstacle to launching a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces. At the same time, it is at least a month before the start of active hostilities.
This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Defense of Estonia, Hanno Pevkur, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"If you listen to the thoughts, (which sounded at the base. - Ed.) Rammstein, then it may be another month before we can talk about a real counteroffensive. If the weather changes, it may happen even earlier. If not, then a month will pass , maybe two," Pevkur said.
According to him, the obstacle today is not the absence of, for example, Abrams tanks, but the weather conditions in Ukraine.
"Abrams tanks are not decisive in the spring offensive. The Leopard coalition (countries that provided tanks to Ukraine. - Ed.) was strong, and quite a lot of equipment has already been transferred to Ukraine, and quite a lot of it is on its way there. The biggest obstacle to a counteroffensive, which is likely to happen is the weather," he said.
In his opinion, "the weather is quite rainy", and this makes it difficult to move heavy equipment.
"Ukrainians are more likely to wait for the weather to improve in order to begin a larger-scale liberation of territories," Pevkur clarified.
