If Putin or anyone else wants to attack NATO, our response will be devastating - Rutte

Rutte threatened Putin with devastating response to aggression

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russia or any other country that wants to attack NATO will face the full force and brutality of the Alliance.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to The Guardian.

During a press conference with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Rutte congratulated Poland on spending 4.7% of GDP on defense. This figure is the highest among NATO member states.

"Let us not forget that Russia is and remains the greatest threat to our alliance. Let's not forget that Russia is transitioning to a wartime economy. And this will have a huge impact on their capacity and ability to build their armed forces," the NATO Secretary General said.

Rutte reiterated his promise to defend Poland and any other NATO member in the event of an invasion.

"When it comes to the defense of Poland and the overall defense of NATO territory, if someone miscalculates and thinks they can get away with attacking Poland or any other ally, they will face the full force of this brutal alliance. Our reaction will be devastating. This should be very clear to Putin and anyone else who... wants to attack us," the Alliance Secretary General emphasized.
