Police investigators have identified a Kadyrovite from the Chechen special unit "Akhmat" who kidnapped and raped underage girls during the occupation of Mykolaiv region.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the National Police.
As noted, on 19 March 2022, the defendant, together with other Russian military personnel, seized the Snihuriv community. Upon entering the town, the Kadyrovites began to intimidate, rob, beat and torture the local population.
The pre-trial investigation established that the occupier illegally broke into one of the abandoned apartments of a Ukrainian serviceman who was under state protection. Afterwards, he abducted and brought two underage girls - 13 and 15 years old - to the seized house at gunpoint.
There, he raped and intimidated the children for three days. In addition, the perpetrator found out that the mother of one of the girls was a career military officer and was currently in captivity. For this, he beat the child. On the third day, the girls were lucky to escape through a window when the occupier was not present.
Soon, Russian troops began to retreat, and the Kadyrovites fled with them. Police investigators began documenting their crimes immediately after the de-occupation. Among others, they identified the rapist of young girls - a 26-year-old native of the Stavropol Krai who had voluntarily joined the ranks of the "Akhmat" special forces, was trained at the "Russian Special Forces University" in Chechnya and came to fight in Ukraine.
Police investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for up to ten years in prison.
The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing. Police investigators are doing everything possible to identify all those involved in the crimes committed by Russians in the occupied territories.
The offender was identified with the assistance of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
