Russia struck Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, and surrounding regions with 219 drones and 25 missiles. Power plants and substations were damaged, and repair crews are currently working to restore power.

According to Censor.NET, this was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Repair crews and rescuers have been working since last night at the sites of the Russian strikes. In total, there were 219 strike drones, most of them "shaheds", as well as 25 missiles, 24 of which were ballistic. Most of them were destroyed, but unfortunately not all. As of now, we know that two people have died as a result of this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. More than ten people have been injured," the message says.

Zelenskyy noted that the main target of the enemy government is the energy sector in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipro, power generation and substations. There is damage in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv and Kherson regions. In Kramatorsk, a drone struck the State Emergency Service building.

The situation in Kyiv remains difficult: many buildings are without heat.

"There must be more protection against these strikes. The most effective weapon against Russian ballistics is the Patriot missile system, and missiles for these systems must be supplied on a daily basis. I would like to thank all the countries that are contributing to the PURL programme. Everything that is currently in the air defence programme must be delivered faster. I thank the leaders who understand this and are helping," the statement said.
