Vasyl Lomachenko defeats Roman Martinez via 5th-round knockout and wins WBO super featherweight title.

"Two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko continues to write his own history as a professional, becoming the fastest boxer to win a world title in two weight divisions... Lomachenko stopped Martinez with a beautiful left uppercut/right hook combination to knock him flat on his back in Round 5," ESPN journalist Brian Campbell wrote.

In just his seventh professional fight, Lomachenko (6-1, 4 KOs) impressed the audience with a spectacular, fifth-round knockout of titlist Roman "Rocky" Martinez at the Madison Square Garden Theater in NYC. Moreover, Vasyl Lomachenko has previously set a record by winning his first title in just his third fight in 2014.

Forbes considers Lomachenko's victory to be a candidate for KO of the year winner.
