Ukrainian soldier David Gamsakhurdia has died in Mechnykov hospital of Dnipro Сity on Saturday, Oct.8.

Adviser of the head of the Dnipro Regional State Administration Tetiana Huba wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"26-year-old soldier of the 128th Brigade David Gamsakhurdia departed this life today in Mechnykov hospital. David was heavily wounded in Butivka mine shelling on Sept.16. I express my condolences to David's mother, Tetiana Mykhailivna, all friends and fellows.

"I'm sorry, David, that we could not save you. Pain and tears. Long live the hero," Huba wrote.
