Russian troops continue to shell civilians in the Kherson region, targeting communities in Beryslav, Kakhovka, and Kherson districts in an attempt to destroy infrastructure and inflict as much damage as possible on local residents, destroying the residential sector.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Communications Department of the National Police.
As noted, the Russian army fired at the settlements on the right bank using artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems, mortars, aircraft, and UAVs.
"The occupants attacked Beryslav, Odradokamianka, Kozatske, Vesele, Ivanivka, and Novoberyslav with guided aerial bombs. A school was damaged, resulting in a fire, which was contained. The shelling by the Russian military also damaged more than 20 houses, shops, cars, offices, and administrative buildings. A 67-year-old woman was wounded in Kozatske, and a 60-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were wounded in Ivanivka," the statement said.
In Beryslav, an air strike damaged a police vehicle, but no law enforcement officers were injured.
Kherson and its suburbs were under enemy artillery fire. The shells hit private houses, and an 82-year-old woman was wounded in Korabelny district at around 6 a.m. Also in the afternoon, a 53-year-old man was seriously injured in the same area.
Investigators, explosives experts, and forensic specialists were working at the sites of the attacks. Police officers inspected the scenes, collected material evidence, and recorded the consequences of the Russian military strikes.
Over the past 24 hours, police responded to 330 statements and reports from citizens about criminal offenses and other incidents. Two criminal proceedings were opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of the laws and customs of war".
