Russian occupants are preparing to defend the city of Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region, arranging barracks and ammunition depots in the basements of residential buildings.
This is stated by Censor.NЕТ with reference to рress service of "Energoatom".
"Rashists are preparing to defend Enerhodar, and local residents are going to be used as human shields.
Russian invaders in the satellite town of Zaporizhzhia NPP are arranging barracks and ammunition depots in the basements of residential buildings. Thus, hiding behind Enerhodar residents, the invaders are trying to protect their military in case of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, in Enerhodar, there are numerous cases when the Russian military use the basements of civilian buildings as places of permanent deployment, even equipping them with beds. It is, for example, the basement of the building where the Department of Social Programs is located at 10 Kurchatova Street. About 50 occupants live there now.
In addition, the invaders in Enerhodar constantly bring some large boxes into the basements of residential buildings - probably with weapons or explosives. This happens in the dark, and while the "process" is going on, several occupants are watching the windows of the house to protect themselves from unwanted bystanders. Similar "night works" were noticed in several residential buildings of the fifth and seventh microdistricts.
Realizing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not aim at residential buildings, the racists are arranging their barracks and warehouses with weapons and ammunition in them: to protect themselves and ammunition. We also know about a large number of explosives in the building of the communication center near the city executive committee," - the statement reads.
