According to Dutch Defense Minister Keesa Ollongren, the Netherlands is ready to pay for Leopard tanks to be sent to Ukraine as part of a coalition of European and NATO allies.
The Netherlands has already paid for the shipment of T-72 tanks from the Czech Republic to Kyiv, and the same approach, according to the Minister, could be replicated for German Leopard tanks.
"That's definitely something we're willing to do," Ollongren said.
In addition to the tanks, any coalition will also require partners to provide ammunition, training and other support.
"We are all waiting to hear Germany's position on tanks, but I am in favor of trying to find a solution and trying to send tanks to Ukraine," Ollongren emphasized.
