Europe and US will be able to agree on tanks for Ukraine - Rutte
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that he is quite confident that Europe and the United States will be able to bring their "dialogue" on tanks for Ukraine to an end.
He stated this in an interview with CNN, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrainian truth.
According to Rutte, he has an understanding that Germany and other countries want to create a "broad coalition" to send heavy tanks to Ukraine.
"There is wide support for sending military equipment. We have sent so much since the beginning of the war. Of course, there is a debate about tanks, and the question here is what will be the next step in the fight. It may be necessary, but I understand that the Germans and others say you need a broad coalition," Rutte said.
According to him, it is "very important" that Ukraine wins the war, but "you also have to be honest with him (President Zelensky - Ed.) and say that if you want tanks, for example, at the level he is asking for them, it is necessary that we do it not only as one country, but as a group of countries."
The Dutch Prime Minister said he was "quite confident" that Europe and the United States could bring their dialogue on tanks to a conclusion.
