Ukraine insists that the grain agreement be open-ended and automatically extended for 120 days.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"Together with our partners, we are making efforts to continue the grain initiative. Since the beginning of the initiative, we have managed to export more than 24 million tons of food," he said

According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine is one of the key links to global food security.

"Therefore, we insist that the grain agreement be open-ended and automatically extended for 120 days. The same position is taken by Turkey and the UN. The aggressor's attempts to shorten the extension period are a manipulation for further blackmail and fomenting a global crisis. We must not allow this," he concluded.
