Russia planned a coup in Moldova for spring 2023 - Sandu
Russia’s plans to overthrow the pro-European government in Moldova in the spring of 2023 have failed, but we can expect new attempts by pro-Russian forces.
This was stated by President of Moldova Maia Sandu, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The Moldovan president noted that Russia had planned a coup for the spring of 2023, but because the current government "had sufficient information," Russia's attempts failed.
"We are sure that they will make a new attempt, but I have no specific information about it. New attempts will be made, because the Kremlin's plans are obvious - to change the government in Chisinau to a pro-Russian one and to use the Republic of Moldova against Ukraine in this war," Sandu said.
