Defense Ministry orders 300 Vector drones from German company Quantum Systems

Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has ordered 300 medium-range reconnaissance drones of Vector type from German company Quantum-Systems GmbH, company’s press service reports.
It is informed by Censor.NЕТ referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Quantum-Systems GmbH, a dual-purpose aerial reconnaissance company that supplies multi-sensor drones for data collection to government agencies and commercial customers, today announced the order of 300 additional Vector™ medium-range reconnaissance drones as part of the military support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces funded by the German government," the company's website said on Wednesday.
It is noted that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has placed a third order for 300 Vector UAVs, after two previous orders for 105 Vector UAVs in January 2023 and 33 Vector UAVs in August 2022.
"The Vector has been extensively and intensively tested on the battlefield in Ukraine, where it has proven its effectiveness in military intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. (...) Ready to use within two minutes, it provides continuous detection of enemy targets regardless of weather conditions, reaches speeds of up to 72 km/h and has a long flight time. Using advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, Vector enables Ukrainian troops to quickly collect important intelligence and gain a strategic advantage," the statement said.
This type of UAV provides real-time aerial reconnaissance data in an efficient and user-friendly form thanks to built-in artificial intelligence, and the system also frees the operator from constant video monitoring. Built-in algorithms allow to automatically identify objects and immediately transmit key intelligence information to the ground.
To further support Ukrainian troops in their defense against the Russian aggressor, Quantum Systems recently opened a service training, support and logistics center in Ukraine. The center provides training for operators on the use and maintenance of the Vector system and serves as a local procurement center for spare parts and repair services.
