Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant destruction killed 31 people, - Interior Minister Klymenko

Destruction of Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant in Ukrainian government-controlled territory killed 31 people.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, this was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko in an interview with "Radio Svoboda".
The Minister noted: "As for the dead: we have 31 people killed today. 29 are from Kherson region and two citizens were killed in Mykolaiv region."
As for the material losses, the minister said the final count has not yet been completed.
"It is very difficult to calculate how much we have lost in potential harvest, how much we have lost in private farms, including vineyards and melons that grew in this area, how much we have lost in water supply. This is a big problem.
The water has moved several kilometers away from the shore of the Kherson Reservoir. And today, I see the main problem as access to water for our citizens in the future," Klymenko emphasized.
It should be reminded that on the night of June 6, 2023, Russians blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, which led to a large-scale man-made disaster. An artificial flood occurred, flooding more than 80 settlements in southern Ukraine. People died and residential buildings were destroyed. The flow of fresh water tore away thousands of tons of soil along with all the flora and fauna that lived in the area.
