Challenge for world is not only war, but also Putin’s Russia, - Shmyhal

Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine is the biggest challenge to European security since World War II.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an online speech at the "Creating a Better Future in a Turbulent World" conference, Censor.NET reports with reference to the Government Portal.
At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian government emphasized that not only a full-scale war, but also modern Putin's Russia is a challenge for the world.
"Until we defeat this tyranny and expel Russian troops from Ukrainian territory, a lasting and just peace is impossible. And such a peace is of crucial importance for our security and the prosperity of ours and future generations," said Denys Shmyhal.
As the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted, after 18 months of full-scale war, there is no doubt that Russia will not achieve its goals. Ukraine survived — thanks to the heroism of the Ukrainian army, the bravery of the Ukrainian people, thanks to international unity, and the pro-Ukrainian solidarity coalition.
Denys Shmyhal noted that Ukrainian heroes fight not only for freedom and a better future for Ukraine, but also for every European nation to remain free — free from the "Russian world", terror, and repression.
"Ukraine is building a strong army and continuing comprehensive reforms aimed at building a strong and modern economy that will ensure the prosperity of Ukrainians, membership in the EU and NATO, and Ukraine's ability to be a cornerstone of European security. So, when we talk about a better future, our path is quite direct.
Victory and liberation of our land. Recovery based on the principle of building back better and transformation of our country," the Head of Government noted.
According to the Prime Minister, the support of Lithuania and other international partners is extremely important for achieving Ukraine's goals of joining the EU and NATO, as well as for the rapid restoration of critical infrastructure and the economy. In addition, Denys Shmyhal noted the importance of Lithuanian ports in the export of agricultural products in the conditions of Russia blocking the Black Sea corridors and added that Ukraine and Lithuania intend to further develop logistics routes.
The Prime Minister thanked all the countries and organizations that stand side by side with Ukraine in the struggle for freedom and independence, as well as the Republic of Lithuania, the Lithuanian government and people for the unchanging and principled position of solidarity with Ukraine.
