UK imposes sanctions against Russian Novikombank
The UK government imposed sanctions on the Russian bank Novikombank.
This is stated in the press release of the British regulator in the field of sanctions of the Ministry of Finance, Censor.NET reports.
"The following entry has been added to the Consolidated List. The legal entity is now subject to asset freezing, sanctions on trust services, prohibition of correspondent banking operations, etc.: Novikombank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank," the regulator said in a statement.
The press release notes that the Russian bank "benefits from or supports the Russian government through doing business in an industry that is of strategic importance to the Russian government, namely the Russian financial services sector."
