Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded as militants launched 61 attacks yesterday, - ATO HQ
Pro-Russian hybrid forces are reported to use heavy artillery banned by the Minsk agreements in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone.
Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action over the past 24 hours. On May 26, the militants opened fire against the Armed Forces of Ukraine 61 times, in particular using heavy artillery, Censor.NET reports citing ATO Headquarters.In the Prymorske sector, the militants launched 34 attacks. After 6 p.m., Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne and Chermalyk were shelled with 120 mm mortars. Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Vodiane and Hnutove strongholds came under small arms and grenade launcher fire. The militants also fired at Marinka and Krasnohorivka from the vicinity of temporarily occupied Donetsk.
In the Donetsk sector, pro-Russian hybrid forces attacked Ukrainian positions 19 times. Most of the attacks are reported at the military positions in the southern and eastern suburbs of the town of Avdiivka. The militants used 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Verkhniotoretske strongholds were mortared with 82 mm shells. The militants shelled Troitske with 120 mm mortars. Ukrainian positions near Pisky came under grenade launcher and small arms fire.
In the Luhansk sector, eight militants' attacks were recorded in the vicinity of Krymske. About a half of attacks were launched in the evening. The militants fired from mortars, IFVs, grenade launchers and small arms.
