Verkhovna Rada Decided not to Hold Re-elections in the Disputed Districts

The Ukrainian News reports that the deputies have instructed the Central Election Commission to review the materials regarding the establishment of parliamentary election results.

In addition, the deputies have asked the Attorney General, the High Council of Justice, the High Qualification Commission of Judges and the Central Election Commission to provide preliminary information on the establishment of the election results in certain districts of the parliament until November 9.

Speaker of Parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn said that the appeal to the Central Election Commission regarding the re-vote in the districts with alleged violations does not correspond with the current legislation, and the powers of the CEC.
