Minister Refutes Azarov: There are no Fairy Tales in Life
Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ihor Prasolov says he does not expect a significant increase in GDP due to the adoption of the economy revitalization program.
"Our task - with the help of this program not to spend the money as it was before, wherever and on whatever but to concentrate on the projects, on the activities which will either give a strong economic impact, or those projects that will give a powerful social effect," continued Prasolov.
He noted that the program is aimed at improving the efficiency action plan which was envisaged in the development of the state budget for 2013.
Earlier Prime Minister Mykola Azarov set a goal to ensure the growth of the gross domestic product at least to the level of 3.5% in 2013.
The World Bank downgraded its growth forecast of the Ukrainian economy in 2013 from 3.8% to 2.2%, and in 2014 - from 4.0% to 3.2%.
