Authorities Guarantee a Fair Trial to Terrorists - NSDC

A voluntarily surrender of the terrorists to the Ukrainian troops will be taken into account during an investigation.

Speaker of the NSDC information-analytical center Andrii Lysenko said this at briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"If the militants will willingly surrender, it will be surely taken into account when they will be judged. In any case, they shall live," Lysenko said. According to him, all those who have not committed serious crimes will be pardoned. "People who have been deceived by the Kremlin propaganda, who mistakenly took up arms but made no harm to the Armed Forces and did not participate in torture, shall not incur any penalties. If this is proved, they will be released," the speaker of the National Security and Defense Council said.

At the same time, even those who killed and tortured are guaranteed a fair trial. "Persons involved in combat operations that have blood on their hands, will be sued according to the norms of the current legislation of Ukraine," Lysenko said.
